I took a moment to think about what being at Open Access is like. Being in that studio with so many different people some destructive, some calming, all doing, is like people playing with Galaxies. Creating and destroying things that are ( have the potential to be) so awe inspiringly great. I love being at Open Access. I wish there were hundreds of them.

I thought I'd start of my design blogs with my all time favourite designer Alphonse Mucha who is most notable for his contribution to Art Novaue. While all his work is worth checking out. I found his much later peices to by darker in feel. Anyway here is a poster of Sarah Bernnhardt a famous actress of her day for whom Alphonse did all her promotional posters.
the type used is fairly typical of Mucha's posters.
The design is quite striking, leading your eye down to the dead(?) body. The dark figure stand out from the light background and the body at her feet balances the writing up top.

I have a dream
The other day as I was thinking about my life goal and realized that if I bred sheep with wings then I wouldn't have to worry about travel costs, just food and board. Making everything so much easier. Just me and my flock of mini winged sheep how romantic.

Workload
Managing my workload is kinda new to me and part of a learning process but I've come to the realization that "Management" and "Work" reduces the stress significantly. I went into the Zone yesterday and ended up with a fully completing a job.

Sheep
My lifelong goal of traversing the world with a mini babydoll sheep on my shoulder is still a few years from being made reality. I did however finish an image for Open Access's CD booklet and loved using gouche to create it. I don't have the image at the moment but I will soon. The image is for a song called "Afraid(to ask)" by an awesome voice by the name of Chloe ???????. I wish I could remember her name, ah well.
I have been improving my grasp of seeing tones as I draw, which may sound kinda lame but is actually a mind blowing experience for me.
